University/College Finance

Hi Everyone,

One of our savings goals, now we’re free from debt repayments, is to prepare for teenager going to university: She knows where she wants to go, so we know exactly how much she’ll need for fees and accommodation and it’s a lot, (the average in this country is around £10K per year!) but the more we save for her, the less student loan she’ll need.

So we are starting to think ahead, but for those of you who are students or have children who are studying, I found this great post yesterday on Money Saving Champs’ page, please check it out.

Also, when I was looking for ways to make money from home, I found Save The Student While I don’t agree with the betting, some of the other ideas are great.
