Breakfast Options

Morning Peeps!

I’m feeling much better today, thanks for the thoughts and prayers yesterday, (teenager is getting there, poor baby) but it means I’m really hungry this morning so I thought I’d share the breakfast options we have to choose from:

  • Cereal or porridge, self-explanatory
  • Fruit (Today we have apples, grapes, raspberries and bananas)
  • Toasted English muffin (we have these instead of wholemeal bread as they don’t dry out as easily)
  • Loaded muffin: malted cheese on one side, dry-fried (or poached) egg and spinach (or bacon in you feel the need)
  • Pancakes made with my wholemeal batter (this is Mr.B’s favourite, with clear honey drizzled over)
  • The Full English: Sausages, bacon eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans and some sort of bread
  • Sweet treats: Muffins, flapjacks or the rare treat of a shop=bought pastry
  • My personal favourite is a Toasted Teacake and Scrambled Egg: Dried fruit and egg go really well together (especially with salted butter on the teacake first) but I usually only have this out at a cafe or on holiday as a treat…. as a side note, Gordon Ramsay would die if he saw my scrambled egg; I don’t like the posh, creamy stuff, I like it over-cooked until firm, but that’s just me)

Anyhoo, I don’t have the last 2 options available to me today so I think some simple cereal and raspberries will suffice (quick and simple, as I’m on a time limit if I want to go swimming)

What’s your favourite? Let me know in the comments.

Have a great day x
