Morning my lovely Peeps!
First and foremost, Happy Birthday to my mum! She is not in Cornwall celebrating so I won’t see her until tomorrow when we have our traditional birthday lunch with a dear friend (we do it for all 3 of our birthdays and Christmas)… very exciting. 🙂 So Happy Birthday Mum! I know you’ll be reading this. 😉 (FYI the rest of you, my lovely, supportive parents read every single post!)
It is also St. Piran’s day…as an honorary Cornish person I feel duty-bound to celebrate. It really is awesome here, it completely surpasses any St. George’s celebrations I’ve ever seen; in fact it’s more the level of England being in the world cup or an old VE-day celebration…there are flags and street parties and the schools do stuff (even though they’ve literally just done world book day). It’s awesome!
That’s one of the great things about Cornwall, that community spirit.
I was thinking about doing a visitors guide to our little corner of the world, comment below if you’d like to see that post. 🙂 It may be slightly biased as I don’t believe there’s a better place on the planet! 😉
Anyhoo, St Piran: A great evangelist, believed to be one of the earliest to our corner of the UK. The white cross on black background represents Christ as light in the darkness….as a sermon about that is what helped me become a Christian, I think that’s extra cool! It’s a good reminder to be salt and light and to keep Christ-centred, so thanks, St. Piran! 🙂
Have a lovely day peeps, especially if you’re celebrating!

I never knew what the white cross on the black background meant. You learn something new everyday day! Cornwall is a stunning place, no other place like it.
