Hey-ho Peeps!
Thought I’d give you a little update on how life is going in our little corner of Cornish paradise. 🙂
Blog-wise it’s going great; you are all awesome, thank you! My stats have gone nuts, especially on Autism Awareness Day. Thank you so much for that, it’s a cause close to my heart. Also, yesterday’s post was number 350 since I started and I’ve already had half the visitors I had last year by the start of April! It really blows my mind that thousands of people care what I write, even more so that many of you are ‘regulars’ and often stop to leave a friendly comment…I can’t thank you enough. Hello also to my new followers! 🙂 Thanks for dropping by.
I talked yesterday about improving our household finances. It’s been kind of a spring cleaning week…we ‘cleaned up’ our finances, changed up our menu recipes and actually spring cleaned the kitchen…still have the lounge and our bedroom to do but I have stuff to do today (because the house still has to function and, as a tutor, I have stuff to prep before exam season!) Teenager cleaned and rearranged her room last week, so we’re about halfway. 🙂
Speaking of my gorgeous daughter, she is making breakfast as I type (love that kid)! I’m so proud of her for the work she’s put in at church and with her schoolwork; they really pushed them before the holidays to get an up-to-date grade for each subject, so she’s done countless essays and tests but did brilliantly on them! Most importantly, her attitude to it all has been great, even though she was exhausted. I’m a proud Mumma! 🙂
I guess that leads naturally on to talk about Mr.B… He’s had a rough couple of weeks feeling sick and giddy. 😦 After lots of doctors appointments and trying various tests and tablets, they believe it’s Meniere’s Disease. We now have to wait for 6-8weeks for an appointment with the hospital specialist.
The good news is it’s nothing life-threatening. I’d never heard of it before but basically, it comes with tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and causes severe bouts of vertigo/dizziness because it affects the inner ear. Tablets help muffle the symptoms which can ease as you age, but until we see the specialist we don’t know much more.
Everyone in our friends and family circle has been so supportive and prayerful, so thanks to everyone for that! Also, I wanted to put some info out there as we get it in case anyone else may be suffering from it. You can get more details of symptoms and treatments from The Meniere’s Society. I’ll keep you posted. 🙂
So I think that’s about it, just a little update on our lives for you. There’s still another week of Easter holidays to go so you may hear some more about it yet!
I hope you’re all well and enjoying your visits here? Thanks for coming!
God bless,
Anna x
