Howdy Peeps!
It’s a very gloomy, wet Wednesday here…makes you appreciate things like heating and a hot cup of tea!
In a couple of hours, my daughter’s best friend is coming for a sleepover. I am going to take them to a trampoline park, we’ve not been before and my daughter really wanted to, so this is her holiday treat. We’re all pretty excited/curious 🙂
Secondly, I finished the first Anne of Green Gables book last night- for the umpteenth time in my life, but the first time this year. I recommend the reading of it, especially to females over 11 years old who will definitely find something relatable in it. It’s so positive and encouraging, the historical setting (Victorian Canada) is fascinating and the theology is interesting… there will be a whole separate blog on that. My daughter is currently reading a Sarah J Maas series, to which a new book will soon be added. Her excitement and enthusiasm made me want to read my favourite series again, so I read the whole first book this week! I guess I know where the teenager gets it from…perhaps I should be more understanding when telling her to turn her light off and go to sleep!! 😉
Thirdly, today is World Parkinson’s Day. I had no idea it existed and think it should be better publicised. I know a few people with Parkinson’s disease and happily support them today. 🙂 Also, to anyone who grew up in the 80’s, Michael J Fox is nothing short of heroic for his efforts to raise awareness and find a cure; so if you don’t know anyone to do this for, then do it in his honour. #uniteforparkinsons
Finally, I’m happy to report Mr.B has had 3 or 4 good days in the last week. So the Meniere’s attacks are getting few and far between, thanks to everyone for the continued prayer and well-wishes. 🙂
So I’m going to head off now to get organised before our lovely guest comes. Remember to share that it’s World Parkinson’s Day and enjoy your Wednesday!
