Hey Peeps!
In the 2 weeks since my birthday, I’ve read both Michael Crichton books. 🙂 I’m going to do a review for Jurassic Park and The Lost World in a separate blog but these books are awesome! If you’re an older dino fan then please read them (I say older because they have a bit of swearing and describe all the attacks in detail) definitely for teens and up!
Another book I adore is Anne of Green Gables (you probably know that if you’ve been here any length of time)…well, on Netflix there are 2 series based on the books! 🙂 🙂 🙂 It’s called Anne with an “E” and the basic (one screen) package on Netflix currently offers the first month free! Also means the teenager and I can watch Once Upon A Time and I’m ready for the next season of Stranger Things when it happens (Sadly I think it’ll be next spring).
We’ve got lots of TV choices at the moment because we also have a free month of Prime. **Pro budgeting tip: if you leave it alone for a while, Amazon will offer you a free month once or twice per year to try and entice you back.** So my daughter and I are currently re-watching Downton Abbey and we’re all watching Grand Tour (that’s the proper Top Gear now the BBC ruined theirs).
We’ve got all these books and TV series and yet the cinema still calls! This week at our teeny cinema Skyscraper is on: I love a good action film…and it’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, why wouldn’t it be good?!
A lot of people are hyped about Incredibles 2, which also hits our screens this week. I probably will watch it because it’s Disney, but I wasn’t really a fan of the first one (I stand alone in this…Mr.B and our dear daughter both like the first one).
Mamma Mia 2 is a week away, which kinda divides opinion…I’m more interested now I know Cher is in it and any excuse to sing 70’s music is fine by me! 😉
Y’all know I’m waiting for August though; desperate to see The Meg! Prehistoric shark vs the lovely, dry-witted Jason Statham…yes please!
So until I get my next prehistoric fix, I guess my entertainment consists of Cars, Fairytales, Victorian Canada and a grand house surviving World War 1…. I can live with that! 🙂 🙂
Have a good one peeps!
Anna x
