Howdy Peeps!
Acts 2:17 says “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
About 18 months ago our church was going through some big changes (like moving buildings and lots of new members coming- which was awesome!) We were getting a lot of visions and prophecies from church members and visitors and other pastors to encourage us and point out our church mission.
A lot of the visions, dreams and imagery spoken about were to do with light; letting God be the main light in our lives, being light in the community and such…people spoke of lighthouses and candles….then it happened to me.
It does sometimes and it’s awesome when God gives you info, but terrifying when you realise you have to get up the front and share it (I DO NOT like microphones)!
It was like I could see a sun or star above the stage with like solar flares coming out of it.

I don’t remember what exactly it related to in that day’s message but it was about our relationship with God. If this awesome light was God, the solar flares are Him reaching out to us, we just have to make the effort to reach out and grab on,
I literally haven’t thought about it for almost a year and it popped in my head this morning. There is always a reason for the timing of those sorts of things…God may yet reveal something more, but I think I was thinking about it today because I’m trying to put that effort in.
Your relationship with God (like any relationship) takes work. One of my goals for this year is to spend more time with God (in Bible study and worship music). Also, anything we do can be done for/with/in front of God, so as I’m thinking about 2019 goals generally it makes sense that God would be involved in those too.
Just thought I’d share to encourage you all in your spiritual walk; don’t be scared if you get a message from God, listen and learn.
