Howdy Peeps!
Apparently it’s summer… (Not that you can tell outside) so for toddler group I was looking for some summer inspiration.
I found the website Happiness is Homemade and found some cute crafts, including little plastic cup pineapples.
You can paint the outside of cups yellow but I actually found some yellow ones in Poundworld. I added some double-sided sticky tape and let the kids stick on leaf shapes, then we drew spikes with permanent pens. The nice bit is that the cups are still usable…they’d make fun cups or snack pots for a summer party.
Also on that website were some decorated foam ice-lollies, but actually didn’t get the idea from there, we had some left that another volunteer made last year. so we decorated those too.
Really easy to do, you use your scraps of paper up and it can be done by anyone…I had several under-2’s manage it perfectly well.
If you try these or have other summer ideas, let me know- I’d love to see them!
Have a good one,
