The thing with great entertainment is the whole left when you’re not reading/watching/listening to it.
I still haven’t finished the Inheritance cycle books. I got to a bit I was upset with (there’s a major cliffhanger at the end of a chapter and then it goes elsewhere after!!) and now I’m stuck in a plot-filling bit. As beautiful as the writing and concepts are, there’s a lot of exciting stuff going on in our lives so Eragon has to wait a few days.
I finished all 3 seasons of Designated Survivor and loved it! Kiefer Sutherland was brilliant and should possibly run for president in real life. I love that he was involved in the production but he isn’t portrayed as the perfect hero… he makes mistakes and rash decisions and there is a massive moral cliffhanger at the end of season 3.
The drama was brilliant and there were several plot points (especially in season 2) that made me cry. There are some great plot twists and action sequences.
My only real criticisms are the massive cliffhanger at the end of season 3 (Netflix are good at that) and that season 3 is a bit too focused on romantic relationships, but those are literally the only faults…well worth a watch.
Last, but by no means least, Strictly Come Dancing started on Saturday!! Always a highlight of the Autumn, but we did miss Darcy. However, the new judge is a fabulous dancer and seems really nice. The hard part is that while the celebs learn a whole new set of skills, we have to wait 2 weeks for the next episode!!
Speaking of waiting, there’s only a couple of weeks until Downton Abbey:The Movie!! But that’s for another blog. 🙂
