On Monday my daughter’s school had an odd-socks day to raise awareness for Anti-bullying week. The idea being that everyone looks different but all are accepted.
There are lots of things we can do to deal with bullying but the most important thing is to talk.
Our kids need to know it’s not grassing up to tell an adult, but as adults we need to lose the stigma too. If we, or someone we know, is being bullied in any way someone needs to know.
We need to not be embarrassed or scared to speak up, if we’re brave enough to tackle the issues then our children/colleagues/family will follow our example.
Be brave. Be strong. Stand up.
