Howdy Peeps!
It’s FREEZING here this morning! So I figured I’d share some hot recipes to make us feel warm and comfy…. if you have one you want to add, please share in the comments below; we need all the heat we can get! 🙂
This has to be the hottest thing I eat; Huevos Rancheros and I only discovered the dish last year….a lot of brave souls eat it for breakfast/brunch but I like mine at lunchtime with a warm, crusty roll …..mmmmmmmmmm yummy!
This Carrot and Coriander Soup I found on AllRecipes.co.uk a while ago is soooo easy and the coriander is fresh, giving a much stronger flavour. 🙂 I can see I’m gonna have to stock up on crusty rolls!
I’m sure you spotted in my post Autumn Recipes that my go-to recipes are my Root Veg Stew and Chicken Pie (if somehow you’ve not seen me talk about those, you obviously haven’t been here very long! 😉 Please feel free to check them out.)
I have only ever tried pumpkin once, it’s not a huge deal in the UK but these recipes for using them on Emily’s blog Healthy Happy Hippie are tempting me to go buy a pumpkin this very second! Let me know if you try them, I doubt I’ll get through all 50!
I think know that I have a tortilla addiction, so any warm stuff that goes into a tortilla or with nachos is fine by me. My favourites are listed here but a special mention goes to my favourite Veggie Chilli and Quesadillas just perfect! In fact, I might make it later *drool* but even cold tortilla chips and dips can be warmed up with a few jalapeno slices 🙂
Mr.B has expressed an interest in having different sauces and gravies (yippee! I get to experiment!) and I love my slow cooker, so this recipe for Slow Cooker Chicken in Mushroom Gravy ticks all the boxes. Honestly, there aren’t any recipes on What’s for dinner Moms‘ website that I wouldn’t try! (Another thing you’ve heard me say before, I’m sorry if I’m repeating myself but it’s true, she’s fab!)
So I’ll let you go experiment in your kitchen and I’ll go play in mine…. I keep saying experiment too, maybe I’m a mad scientist instead of a cook 😉
Have a great Thursday my lovelies,
Anna x
